Cities Reimagined
The built environment is responsible for about 40% of the UK’s total carbon footprint. The 63 largest cities and towns in the UK generate nearly a half of all our carbon emissions. To reach net zero targets, we need our cities to be greener, more efficient and sustainable. Yet while 70% of local authorities have declared climate emergencies, far fewer have created plans to match this ambition.
In Coventry, Chapman Taylor Architects has prepared a masterplan for a greener and more sustainable future. Working with the local authority and planners to reimagine the city centre, to rebuild the community through wellness and social cohesion, whilst helping to tackle climate change. They’re creating a new future for Coventry, and a vibrant, sustainable place to live that will stand the test of time.
